How to Insert Emojis in Windows 8

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Touch Keyboard by right-clicking the task bar, choosing "Toolbars," and selecting "Touch Keyboard."
  2. Click the Touch Keyboard icon that appears in the task bar. Then select the smiley face key between the Control key and the space bar.
  3. The Touch Keyboard gives you a variety of different emoji categories to choose from. When you click an emoji, it will appear wherever the cursor is in your document or browser.

NOTE: Some Windows emojis will not appear correctly in certain browsers, like Google Chrome.
