Typically, ETD stands for "estimated time of departure." People use this acronym when stating the time they plan to leave a place. For example, if your friend is flying to Seattle, they may say their ETD is 7:15 p.m. This means your friend's flight is scheduled to take off at 7:15 p.m.
ETD is often paired with and used alongside ETA, which means "estimated time of arrival." While ETD signifies the time a person plans to leave a place, ETA signifies the time they plan to arrive at wherever it is they're going.
