IAB

What does IAB stand for?

In a bit

When someone sends you IAB, they'll be with you "in a bit." People often use IAB when they plan to call, message, or meet up with you sometime soon (usually, in less than a half hour).

IAB is often used as part of other text and chat acronyms, in which it still means "in a bit." For example, BIAB (which you may encounter during chat conversations) stands for "back in a bit" and TTYIAB (which you might encounter in text or chat messages) stands for "talk to you in a bit."
