What does GFTD stand for in messages?

Gone for the day

People use GFTD to say they'll be "gone for the day." You're most likely to encounter this acronym in the workplace, used by a co-worker who is (or will be going) OOO.

However, others who are not available may also use GFTD to say so. For example, if you ask your BFF what they're doing Saturday, they may say they're GFTD - and thus can't hang out with you.
