Headdesk

What does headdesk mean?

Extreme frustration

Headdesk is a variation of the facepalm term used to express frustration. The term is the more extreme version of facepalm since slamming your head to a desk usually hurts more a palm to the face.

The headdesk term comes from the total loss of body control experienced by a person who just witnessed something extremely stupid. Due to the loss of control, the person cannot hold his head up and instead lets it slam onto the desk in front of him or her. The term is most likely used at work since many people work at desks and are forced to endure dumb coworkers.
