What does li-fi mean?

Wi-fi that appears to be free but tries to charge you

A term that describes a wi-fi setup that appears to be free but instead attempts to charge you for use.

It is especially annoying when you're using a device dependent on wi-fi and they try to rope you into signing up for something or paying. It may also refer to Light Fidelity, a wireless communication technology.
