PLJ stands for three things that everybody wants, "peace, love, joy." Most people send it during the holidays in December to wish others well.
You can send PLJ to anyone you care about, like a friend or family member. You can also send it to strangers and acquaintances as a general pleasantry when greeting or leaving them.
While most people send PLJ around Christmastime, you can send it at other times when you are in a cheerful mood. Remember who you are sending it to since it is obscure and the recipient will most likely not understand it.
