A baseball acronym that refers to a fielding error that was made by the center fielder.
The term consists of E and the player's position. An error by a fielder does not count as a hit and if a baserunner scores because of an error, the run is considered unearned instead of earned. Baseball positions may be referred to through numbers, which is useful for keeping track of scores. The positions and numbers are: 1-Pitcher, 2-Catcher, 3-First base, 4-Second base, 5-Third base, 6-Shortstop, 7-Left field, 8-Center field, and 9-Right field.
