What does IDS stand for in chat and text messages?

I'm dead serious

Someone who sends you IDS (I'm dead serious) wants you to know they're not joking around. (But also, isn't willing to type out a complete phrase to say so.) This acronym is the opposite of the more-mirthful (and commonly used) JK.

You're most likely to receive IDS after asking someone whether they're messing with you or JJA. IDS is an assertion that no, they really aren't.
