NWOT

What does NWOT stand for in online auctions and marketplaces?

New without tags

In online auctions and marketplaces, NWOT stands for "new without tags." This acronym denotes that the item being sold is new, but it does not have its original price, size, and/or barcode tags.

Confusingly, NWOT is very similar to NWT, which means "new with tags." If an item is listed as NWOT, you'll have to either trust or verify the item is actually new and unused, unlike an NWT item.

Example

Polo Ralph Lauren olive green tee, XL, NWOT.
