Pkmn is a common way to abbreviate Pokémon, a Japanese media franchise. It mainly consists of a trading card game, video games, TV shows, and movies.
Pokémon is the combination of "pocket" and "monsters." It was created by Satoshi Tajori in 1995 and is owned by The Pokémon Company, which was established by the Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures companies. Pokémon are fictional creatures that roam the wild but are captured by human trainers and used to fight each other for competition. Originally, there were 151 Pokémon but now there are over 700 Pokémon species that have been revealed over the years. Some popular Pokémon include Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and the oft-maligned Jigglypuff.
