Tweeter

What is a tweeter online?

A person who tweets

A Tweeter is someone who posts on Twitter (now called X). They have a handle (username), share thoughts in tweets (now just called posts), and likely have followers who engage with their content.

A Tweeter might post anything from personal updates to viral memes, political opinions, or industry insights. Many tweeters use the platform casually, while others build large followings, becoming influencers, thought leaders, or even internet celebrities.

People often used tweeter when Twitter was at its peak, especially in the 2010s when the platform’s unique slang—like tweetsults and twollowers—was widely recognized. While Twitter rebranded to X in July 2023 and its culture has evolved, people may still use tweeter informally to describe anyone actively posting on the platform.
