Carry is a MOBA term that refers to a player's role where he or she is ultimately responsible for winning a game. The name comes from how the player "carries" his or her team.
A carry is typically the most capable of inflicting the most damage and is the primary damage dealer on a team. The term is often used in games like League of Legends (LoL). Since a carry is capable of dealing the most damage, he usually accumulates the most kills for his team. A carry with a high damage output might be called an "attack damage carry" while a healer may be called the "healer carry." A carry usually starts off weaker than other champions but grows more powerful throughout the course of the game.
