Cheesin

What does it mean when a person is cheesin?

Smiling

When someone is cheesin while taking a picture, they are smiling. The term comes from the common "Cheese!" saying people say when smiling for a picture.

While cheesin typically happens when taking pictures (possibly for Instagram, Facebook, etc.), people may be cheesin in all sorts of circumstances, including when faking a smile while talking to their annoying boss or crushing hard on their bae with a giant grin on their face. For example, if you sit next to your crush at lunch with a big ole smile on your face, your friend may tell you, "You be cheesin so hard at lunch. He for sure knows you like him."
