World of Warcraft (WoW) players use de as shorthand for "disenchant." To disenchant an armor or weapon means to turn it into magical elements, which can be used in enchanting recipes.
Only players who have learned the enchanting profession can de items. The items must be of uncommon, rare, or epic quality. You should be careful when asking an enchanter to de your weapons and armor, as the process is permanent, and you can't get your item back after it's been de'd.
