A phrase that refers to the good and bad results of a person's actions and decisions made throughout his or her life.

The phrase was first uttered by Ben Carson during the Republican Presidential debate in February 2016. He was referring to a Bible passage in the book of Matthew describing the "fruit" that a person bears by how he or she lives life. The Twittersphere blew up with people mocking the phrase.
