Juice

What does it mean to have juice?

Power and influence

When a person has juice, they have clout. The juice may take the form of various things, such as respect, wealth, authority, desirability, fame, or power.

The 1992 film Juice and hip hop/rap culture popularized the slang term in the early 1990s. When people have juice, they can make things happen that ordinary people cannot. For example, someone with juice can get access to highly sought-after concerts, is invited to exclusive parties, and receives free swag.

While having juice has many perks, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. For example, you have to watch out for friends with ulterior motives that may be leeches or clout chasers.
