Truthtellers use the acronym NGL to mean "not gonna lie." Most often, you'll encounter NGL preceding truth bombs and other hard truths you need to hear.
When used in this sense, NGL means roughly the same thing as "no offense" or "you need to hear this." However, people also use NGL when expressing everyday truths (e.g. "NGL your hot water's out") and truths that make them feel awkward (e.g. "NGL I like ketchup on brats").
