In business emails, NYR stands for "need your response." When you see NYR in an email's subject line or in its body, you should make sure to reply to that email ASAP.
Oftentimes, NYR emails indicate the timeframe within which their sender expects a response. For example, NYRT stands for "need your response today," while "NYR by EoD" stands for "need your response by end of day." While you should reply to an NYR email quickly, you'll want to be sure you've read and properly processed the email before doing so. Otherwise, your reply may be a fail.
