OR means olympic record. It is an acronym that refers to a record achieved during the summer or winter olympics.
Olympic records are recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for each summer or winter olymic event. An OR is similar to a WR, however, the record must occur during an Olympic event, which is sometimes more difficult because of the added pressure. The OR acronym is most often seen during the Olympics when an athlete is attempting break the record. Popular OR holders include Usain Bolt from Jamaica, Michael Johnson from the United States, and Jacki Joyner-Kersey from the United States.
