A baseball term for when a player gets stuck in a rundown between two bases.
A rundown occurs when a runner is stuck between two bases and fielders are on each side trying to tag him out. Since the fielder must tag the runner with the ball he must throw it back and forth with the other fielder in order to get closer to and eventually tag the runner.
