Pokémon fans use PMD to refer to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game series. In these games, players play as a human who is transformed into a Pokémon. The player and their fellow Pokémon must complete missions in a series of dungeons.
Spike Chunsoft and Nintendo released the first PMD games in 2005. The games proved popular enough to spawn a litany of sequels, as well as manga and anime spin-offs. In most of the games, players take a personality test that determines which Pokémon they are transformed into.
