ROF

What does ROF stand for in messages and online?

Rolling on floor

ROF is a variation of the more commonly used ROFL people may use to react to something funny. However, since ROF omits the "L" for "laughing," people may also use it for other instances, like when rolling around on the floor in pain.

You will likely see ROF in messages, but you may also see it online, especially on social media. For example, a person may react to a funny story shared via text with, "ROF!" Or, a person may comment on a hilarious meme shared on Twitter with, "That is so true. rof."
