A Sham bomb is a breaking NBA report released by Shams Charania, a NBA reporter for The Vertical on Yahoo. The report often comes out of nowhere and includes news about a player or the league that carries a significant impact, which is why it is referred to as a bomb.
The term is similar to Woj bomb, which is a report by Adrian Wojnarowski, another NBA insider.
