Silverstoning is a term that refers to chewing food, spitting it out, and then serving it to somebody, typically a young child. It comes from a video of actress Alicia Silverstone chewing up food before feeding it directly into her infant child's mouth, much like when a mama bird feeds a baby bird.
The method is officially called "premastication" and the purpose is to break down food for others who are incapable of doing it themselves. Needless to say, it freaked out a lot of people. The term may appear as Silverstone or Siverstoned, as well.
