TTFN stands for "ta-ta for now." This acronym is a quick way to sign off at the end of a text or chat conversation.
"Ta-ta for now" is a British phrase used to say goodbye. The acronymized version of the phrase became popular during WWII, when British soldiers used it extensively. These days, both TTFN and "ta-ta for now" are most notably associated with the animated version of Tigger, from Walt Disney's Winnie the Pooh features. (Tigger never actually says TTFN or "ta-ta for now" in any of the original Winnie the Pooh books.)
