A yuccies is a young urban creative. The term refers to a young person who is the cultural product of a yuppie and hipster.
The yuccie term comes from the Y, U, and C initials of young urban creative. This label takes two aspects from the yuppie and hipster groups where a yuccie wants to be successful like a yuppie but also wants to retain his or her creativeness, much like a hipster. Also, he or she lives in an urban area, such as New York, San Francisco, or Chicago. The term may also appear as "Yuccies" when talking about multiple young urban creatives.
