Disney Knees

What are Disney knees?

A pose with knees pointed inwards

Disney knees are bent, inward-pointing knees that many current and former Disney stars consciously and subconsciously make when performing. Stars guilty of the pose include Demi Lovato, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Joe Jonas.

You will likely see or hear about Disney knees on social media, primarily on TikTok, where many users perform their own versions of the trend. For example, a TikToker may pretend they have no control over their knees as they surrender to the Disney knees stance when they hear a Disney performer's song playing.

Origin of Disney knees

It's unclear who officially coined "Disney knees," but TikToker xaviermartinnn_ is credited with first noticing the pose back in 2020 when he shared a video reacting to Demi Lovato's knees from the Camp Rock Disney film (some call it "Demi knees"). The video went viral, and many TikTokers shared examples of poses they had observed from other Disney stars. The term then experienced a resurgence in 2024 with help from 2tswizzle's TikTok of Olivia Rodrigo's and Sabrina Carpenter's Disney knees.
