An enby is a person who identifies as "Non-binary," which is a classification that does not fall in the male or female binary gender category. The term gained popularity in the late 2010s as a phonetic pronunciation of the NB acronym.
A person identifying as an enby may not subscribe to a gender, may subscribe to more than one gender, or may be moving between genders. It is most commonly used in the LGBTQ community and during the month of June, which is Pride month.
