FNB

What is fnb short for?

Football and beer

FNB stands for two things that often go hand in hand: football and beer. Football (American version and soccer version) fans often use the abbreviation when messaging their friends to check that wherever they are going, there better be football and beer present when they get together.

For example, if you are getting together with your friends on a Saturday afternoon for a college football game, you might text them, "will there be fnb?" Or, if you attend a family gathering on a Sunday when your favorite NFL team is playing, you might proclaim, "I'm only going to Uncle Pete's party if there's FNB."

Example

sunday afternoon is the perfect time for fnb
you got that right!

We don't advise having a beer WHILE playing football
