Gen Xer

What is a Gen Xer?

A person born between 1965 and 1980

A Gen Xer is a person born between roughly 1965 and 1980, also known as Generation X. Gen Xers are born after boomers and before millennials (also known as Generation Y).

In America, Gen Xers are also known as the "latchkey generation" because they grew up with less parental supervision than previous generations. This was mainly due to more mothers entering the workforce and an increase in divorce rates.

Gen Xers are also referred to as the "MTV generation" due to the rise of the music video TV channel that helped influence youths growing up in the 1980s. Generation X was also the first generation to grow up with home computers, which helped them transition into the digital age more easily than Boomers and previous generations.

I kind of forget about Gen Xers with all the fighting between boomers and millennials
