Gen Zer

What is a Gen Zer?

A person born between 1997 and 2012

A Gen Zer is a person that is part of Generation Z, the period when people are born between 1997 and 2012. Gen Zers are born after millennials (also known as Generation Y), which are people born between 1981 and 1996.

In America, Gen Zers, or Zoomers, are the most ethnically diverse generation in the country's history. Moreover, they have grown up with the Internet, social media, and smart devices, making them the most technically adept generation.

In general, they are also incredibly aware of social issues (or woke as some boomers love to say), such as race equity, healthcare access, mental health, civic engagement, higher education, and the environment. Gen Zers also face unique uncertainties about the future that other generations did not face, most notably covid.
