GMTA

What does GMTA stand for?

Great minds think alike

When someone's had the same idea as you, they may send you GMTA. This acronym stands for "great minds think alike," and it's a quick way of saying "I was thinking the exact same thing!"

You're most likely to receive GMTA after sharing an idea with a friend, family member, or co-worker. If the person was already considering your idea, they may respond with GMTA to say you're both on the right track. (However, just because two people happened to have the same idea, it doesn't automatically make that idea good ...)

Example

What do you think about taking dad out for his bday this year?
GMTA! I was already considering restaurants
