What does HTTP stand for?

HyperText Transfer Protocol

A Web acronym utilized to describe the protocol used to send data over the World Wide Web; when you type a URL address into your Web browser and click Enter, your computer sends an HTTP request to the Web server, and the server then sends you to your desired HTML page.
