A humblebrag is a term that combines "humble" and "brag" to describe a modest statement a person makes in hope of drawing attention to something he is proud of. It is often used by people who feel like they don't receive enough attention for what they do. The term also goes by the name backdoor brag and can be used as a verb or a noun.
