When someone feels indifferent about a question you've asked them or a statement you've made, they may respond with IDC ("I don't care"). This acronym can be employed nonchalantly ("eh, IDC") or aggressively ("Listen, IDC - leave me alone").
A person who uses IDC to mean "I don't care" is also likely to use IDK to mean "I don't know," sometimes in the same sentence. For example, if you were to ask your nerdy friend what day this year's Super Bowl takes place on, they may respond with "IDK and IDC."
