Mwa is another way to say "kiss," which may be a single peck or the act of kissing. The term comes from the sound a kiss makes (it may also appear as mwah or muah).
People may use mwa in various circumstances to communicate platonic or romantic affection. For example, your gf may text you "mwa" to remind you that she's thinking of you. Or, your older sister, may message you "mwa ;)" after making a joke at your expense.
