Noice

What does noice mean?

Very nice

Noice is a purposeful misspelling of "nice" with an Australian-like pronunciation meant to accentuate the awesomeness of something. For example, if your parents surprise you with a spring break to Cancun, you might react with, "Noice!"

Origin of noice

The origin of "noice" is unclear, but the comedy duo Key & Peele popularized it in October 2013 on their show of the same name. In the episode, Jordan Peele's character uses the noice catchphrase to remark about the awesomeness of breakdancing moves, but Keegan-Michael Key's character tries to steal it.

Fans of the show began using noice (or "nooice" or "noiice") online, especially on social media. Many others adopted it too in the mid-2010s and use it in messages and real life (it is fun to say).
