OPM

When referring to other people's money, people may use "OPM" online and in messages. For example, your friend may text you, "He loves spending OPM but is stingy with his."

There are various contexts in which people may use OPM. Some instances of OPM are negative, especially if you are talking about someone untrustworthy. For example, you may be talking about an ex and lamenting how he would collect OPM by conning friends into helping him out.

However, there are some instances when OPM does not have a negative connotation. For example, people may use OPM to refer to a business loan or start-up money to get a new venture up and running.
