When discussing sexual or romantic attraction, people may use pan in place of "pansexual." Pan people may be attracted to any other person, regardless of that person's sex or gender identity.
What makes being pan different than being bi?
While bi, or bisexual, people are typically attracted to only people who identify as male or female, pan people may be attracted to people who identify as neither male nor female. In fact, pan people may refer to themselves as being gender-blind, because sex and gender do not at all affect their sexual and romantic preferences.
However, the above is a generalization. In reality, being pan can include much more nuance. For example, a pan person may be attracted to people of all genders, but find themself more attracted to people of a certain gender.
