Prolly is short for "probably." You prolly received this abbreviation in a text or chat message, from a friend or family member who is mostly - but not entirely - sure of something.
For example, if you ask your BF whether he'll be coming over for dinner tonight, and he answers with "prolly," it means he'll likely, but not assuredly, be coming over. (Also, OMG, would it kill him to commit to something just once?)
