A situationship is a relationship between two people that is more than just a friendship but not yet a committed romantic affair. It is a grey area with no real label that is often referred to as a "situation."
Pursuing a romantic relationship can have its awkward moments, especially when making the jump from the friendzone or booty call buddy to the BF or GF level. The area between those two spaces is known as the situationship, which is typically followed by a DTR meeting.
