Uok is a quick way to say "You OK?" Concerned friends and family members might send you this abbreviation when they think you're in distress.
For example, if you tell your BFF that you just broke up with your SO, they might respond with "uok?" Which ... well, you're likely not, so that's kind of a silly question. But it's a place to start a conversation.
You might also see uok used at the start of longer, less-existential questions, such as "uok with pizza tonight?" or "uok with Brian stopping by today?" These questions should hopefully be easier to answer than just "uok?" by itself.
