Acc

Acc is an abbreviation for "Actually," which is most often seen in text messages or online. It is typically used when clarifying something, oftentimes when correcting a person's assumption or declaration.

The abbreviation has been used since the late-2000s. However, it is still rather obscure, partially because it doesn't look much like an abbreviation for "actually," and may be mistaken as an abbreviation for "account."

Acc is primarily used by teenage girls, who overuse "Actually" in real life, or IRL. It may also be used by young adults but older adults rarely ever use the term. So be careful who you use it with because it may just confuse the recipient.

People hosting an event use ACC to signal that "anyone can come." This means you can invite your GF, your bro, your second cousin, the guy you just met on the street, and even your BFF Jill.

Of course, it's still polite to ask before inviting a large number of guests to someone else's event, even if ACC. Otherwise, the host's next event might not be so welcoming ...
