Aight (pronounced "ite" or "eye-eet") is an abbreviation for "alright." People typically use it in messages, online, and in person to answer in the affirmative, describe how they are feeling (similar to "OK"), or in the form of a question.
For example, your friend may reply with "I'm doing aight" after you text him, "How are you feeling?" Or, you may ask your sister if she wants to go to a concert, and she replies, "aight" to agree.
Additionally, aight is one of several variations of alright. Others include ight, iat, Alr, and Ard.
