CMIIW stands for "correct me if I'm wrong." When you say CMIIW, you're basically saying "I may be wrong, but ... "
Outside of casual conversation, CMIIW is most often used to invite fact-checking in online forums. A person may add CMIIW to their post or topic's title if they are not sure the information they are sharing is actually true.
