Player character
In role-playing games (RPGs) and video games, PCs are the characters that the games' players control. For example, in Dungeons & Dragons, each player creates and controls their own unique player character. These PCs interact with each other as well as the fantasy world and non-player characters (NPCs) that the game's Dungeon Master (DM) creates.
As another example, in the Pokémon series of games, players control a character who seeks to become the world's best Pokémon trainer. This largely silent character is also a PC, who interacts with numerous NPCs controlled by the game.
The term PC is most often applied to characters played in RPGs, but technically, any game character that is controlled by a player is a player character. League of Legends, Call of Duty, and Street Fighter players all might refer to the characters they control as PCs.

An acronym for things that are said or done that intentionally try to minimize offensiveness, but sometimes end up being kind of ridiculous--like calling a garbage man a "garbologist" or a "sanitation engineer."
A widely-used acronym for the personal computer which is most often associated with computers that run the Windows operating system, as opposed to Mac OS X or Linux.
