Fountain diving is a gaming term used in Defense of the Ancients (DOTA). The term refers to when a player goes into an enemy's fountain to kill an enemy.
Fountain diving is similar to tower diving because it is a high-risk/high-reward strategy. It involves going into a heavily guarded enemy fountain where the likelihood of dying increases. However, it can be very rewarding if it is successful since the kill(s) will give an edge over an enemy.
