What does ghost post mean?

A ghost post is a comment on a Facebook status, picture, note, etc. that has been removed. It is usually removed because it was inappropriate or contained errors.

Ghost posts often arise during heated arguments on Facebook when somebody says something he regrets and is ashamed of. The removed post may confuse other Facebook users trying to follow a conversation because any replies to the ghost post don't make sense.
