Fans of the DCAU know that JLU stands for "Justice League Unlimited." Airing from 2004 to 2006, JLU was the final television show set in the DC animated universe, which began with 1992's Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS).
The sequel to 2001's Justice League, Justice League Unlimited saw the formerly seven-member League expand to include over 50 additional superheroes. In contrast to Justice League and the DCAU's other shows, JLU also featured overarching, season-long plot lines, which culminated in grand season finales.
While JLU was the last television show set in the DCAU, animated films and tie-in material have since continued the universe's continuity. Those who are nostalgic for Green Arrow, Black Canary, Vixen, and Booster Gold can also catch JLU in reruns, on DVD, and on certain streaming services.
